Any help would be appreciated. I thought of connecting to my time capsule but i don't want to waste my time just to have the same thing happen. Hello Mr Kay, From reading your posting I am not sure of your setup. If you have the Selphy connected via USB to the Windows computer, and wanted to connect to this share from your Mac, then you would need to use a Gutenprint driver rather than the Canon driver.
Looking at the supported printer list for v5. Select Windows and browse for the share on the PC. If the printer is not connected to the Windows computer, then please describe your current setup - or the type of setup you would like to have. Regards, PaHu. I cannot get it to operate with my Mac. What do I do? Alternatively you could use the Gutenprint drivers from here. Be sure to read the special note s for use of the Gutenprint drivers with dye sub printers.

I was able to connect it to my g4 tower and get it to print from there so we know it's not a hardware or cable issue , I was also able to print directly from my camera. On the macbook, I uninstalled, then reinstalled the canon drivers. Here's the problem: When you print, it fails. And the printer queue status goes back to Stopped. The normally lit green light blinks red just once. At the end of this post is a clip from the error log I set cups to debug loglevel for this. Notice how it thinks that it's out of paper and or ink, but it's not!
I even tried to print without the paper in, to force it into a REAL no-paper-state, and this didn't help. Let me add, the Canon Printmonitor application always just says Ready, and doesn't indicate any error state. Do you guys have any ideas? Could there have been a software update I installed between now and when the printer worked that broke something? Hi there, We have a Selphy and I was going to test this on an Intel Mini, as I'm concerned it may be an issue with the PPC drivers on the Intel Mac, but unfortunately the power supply for the printer is missing so I cannot check this for you just yet.
I'll keep on the hunt and hopefully have a reply soon. In the meantime, what application are you trying to print from? If its a Universal app, then you could try setting the app to open using Rosetta. This would help to identify if its an Intel issue. Has anyone had success printing to a Canon Selphy printer with I have an ES2. I tried also using the older ES2 driver not Gutenprint and this does not work either.

The Gutenprint driver won't work - neither Gutenprint 5. I've made it nearly like zenobiaflex: Due to I don't now what the best way is, I write down my steps 1. Installed Gutenprint 5. Installed the Canon ES20 printer driver 2. Deinstalled Gutenprint with "gutenprint-uninstaller Reboot the Mac 5. Good luck! Aperture and Printing with a Canon Selphy dye-sub. I was used from Photoshop to disable color management in the program, but make use of the color management in the printer driver. The printer driver came without any ICC-profile, but by this way, prints became excellent. By this way, color become dark, dull, and there is also a light color cast.

Do you have experience with this printer or any Canon Selphy printers? Someone told me to let make a color ICC for this printer by professionals send a print of a certain color traget to a studio with a special scanner in order to produce a color profile regards, Sandro.
Click the Devices toolbar button and click on your printer in the Printers section of the list. That will display what profile the OS is using for the printer. Even if the printer did not come with a profile, the OS will assign a generic profile to it. Try selecting that profile as the printer profile to use in the Aperture print dialog.
I think that might be similar to what you were doing in Photoshop. I recently upgraded to Lion.
Canon does not have a driver for this. Canon Support worked with me to try and get around this stumbling block to no avail. Does anyone out there have a solution? I have a macbook pro running mavericks.
